Brentwood is a city in St. Louis County, Missouri. In the 1870s, a man named Thomas Madden arrived and became a prominent businessman in the community. Due to his prominence, the town was initially named Maddenville. In 1919, Maddenville was incorporated by St. Louis County as the village of Brentwood, and in 1929, the village was established as a city. Brentwood has a population of 8,055 residents.

Brentwood Resources:

The Brentwood Public Library mission is to provide the community access to print and multimedia materials, information services and outreach programs.

The Brentwood Chamber of Commerce was established to give citizens and businesses a forum and medium to voice concerns and opinions, as well as to promote non-partisan initiatives for the good of the entire community.

The Brentwood Historical Society received a gift from Nelson Morgan, a former Brentwood resident.  Nelson sent us old photographs and some memorabilia from his family.  He included a detailed history of his family in Brentwood.

The Brentwood Police Department serves the Brentwood community. They understand that crime and the fear of crime can be best reduced through a well rounded approach of education, prevention, intervention and enforcement. They also understand that keeping a community safe is based on the support and involvement of the community. They will constantly strive to enhance our relationships with the community through communication.
