Heidi Sowatsky received two top design awards in the company’s international design contest judged by interior design journalists and editors throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Sowatsky was awarded third prize for her dramatic room makeover in the Living Room category and another award for the Window Treatment in that same room. She explained that her design featured soft colors, luxurious textures, and all in family friendly fabrics.
Her awards were presented during the company’s 36th Dream Room Awards Ceremony. It was held via a special international video conference that replaced the company’s normal annual conference, which was not held because of the Covid19 Sheltering-in-Place. There were more than 200 participating online. Winners were selected based on their design excellence, creative problem solving, and overall presentation.
Decorating Den Interiors was founded in 1969 and has interior design professionals and decorators throughout the U.S. and Canada. “We offer our clients fine furniture, case goods, accessories, lighting, floor and wall coverings, draperies and other hard and soft window treatments from our LIVV Home Collection™ of furnishings,” Sowatsky said. “We bring samples directly to the client’s home or office, provide complimentary design services and personally oversee projects through installation.”
